Why do we exchange vows?

Vows are promises to be honoured. They are a verbal contract exchanged between two people committed to a lifetime together, through challenging times and shared adventures, always with love and respect guiding them.

As your celebrant , I will work alongside you to craft  a wedding ceremony that reflects your love, your values, and the life you are choosing together.

Whether it's the first time you are saying them or you are reaffirming your commitment, choosing a celebrant that can really tell your love story is an important part of your celebration.

A wedding ceremony is a moment to pause and make promises to one another, not just for the day itself, but for the life you are building together. It doesn’t need to be elaborate or traditional unless that feels right for you. What matters most is that it reflects who you are and what your commitment means to you.

Most couples want a ceremony that feels personal, relaxed, and genuine. My approach is to help you to focus on words that feel natural and meaningful rather than scripted or overly formal. Whether your ceremony includes humour, quiet moments, or a little romance, it is shaped around your relationship and the way you connect with one another.

Every ceremony I create is written exclusively for you. I take time to get to know you, to understand your story, and to listen to what matters most to you both. From personal vows and readings to symbolic elements or shared promises, everything is chosen with care and intention. There is no set format and no expectation to follow tradition unless you want to.

I believe that lasting love is built on trust, understanding, and commitment (with a little romance along the way). Your ceremony should feel like an honest reflection of your relationship.

If you would like to talk about your ceremony or explore how we might work together, I would be very happy to hear from you.

Yes. Many couples choose to write their own vows, and I’m happy to offer guidance or suggestions if you’d like support with this. If writing vows doesn’t feel right for you, we can also include shared vows or other meaningful words instead.

Definitely. If there are cultural, family, or personal traditions you would like to include, we can talk through how to incorporate them in a way that feels respectful and natural within your ceremony.

Yes. Whether you are planning an elopement, a small gathering, or a larger celebration, I approach every ceremony with the same care and attention.

I conduct wedding ceremonies across Buckinghamshire and the surrounding counties. If you are planning a ceremony further afield, please feel free to get in touch to discuss this.

It’s best to get in touch as soon as you have a date in mind, but I’m always happy to discuss availability and options, even at shorter notice.
