Before becoming a celebrant, I spent 13 years working in the charity sector with a homelessness charity. That experience shaped my values deeply and reinforced the importance of listening, empathy, and meeting people where they are, particularly during times of transition or vulnerability.
As my family entered a new stage of life, I felt it was the right time to make a change that allowed for greater balance and presence, while continuing to do meaningful, people-centred work. Becoming a celebrant felt like a natural next chapter.
